Every Day Basics // The Shear Luck

Ok so my basics are...  

Topshop vest / Zara scarf  / All saints chinos / Acne boots / and my new addition Alexander Wang bag. 

Ok so i have had probably one of the luckiest weeks so far. 

first i scored an amazing Zara skirt for just £12 (which i will do a post on at a later date) 

Then Aimlessly wondering through Harvey Nickols i spotted this amazing Alexander Wang Bucket bag  in the reduced section i thought there had to be some sort of mistake. 

so i hastily made my way over, a woman on a mission. I peered inside expecting to see the slightly out of budget £695 pound on the label, only to find it had been reduced to £240 because of a tini tiny scuff on the bottom so i got it, i was over the moon... and i still am :)

Follow Up

 i am really bad with clearing up after my self in my art room, so you can expect very messy palets and and oils smeared in the ramdomest of places.

I stopped posting my art but after a loverly comment on one of my art posts by a fellow blogger, i thought why not start again and this is how this peace has taken shape over a longer period of time than expected.  

and i must admit i am rather pleased with it :)

unfortunately i am going to have to stop shopping for a short while and start saving for the olympus E-PL1.  

been after a good quality smaill-ish camera with interchangeable lenses for ages and this seams to be the best offer (and has some really great art filters) though any ideas or helpful advice to a complete camera novice would be more than welcome :)

 Really sorry it took so long to post this but been crazy busy since i got back and never got the chance. 

 so these are my some of my purchases from NYC this gorgeous interchangeable waste coat by Alexander Wang, and the semiprecious stone and leather necklace from the market that i am so very in love with at the minute.

A day in Barneys

 spent a very long time in barneys on monday umming and arhhing over what to spend my money on. 

ha just realized that me and my mum look practically identical in what we are wearing.  

 i swear every woman in New York must be a size nine because every shoe i like was far too small. However i managed to find these chloe opening ceremony platform boots which quickly went to the top of my shopping list 

 I had a particular desire for something wang that day also, so i raded his section and found something better than shoes, if thats possible. 

will post what i got tomorrow ;)

Posting From NYC

Can you believe this is the view from my hotel room.

 The weather is extremely variable over here, but when the sun does occasionally  brake through it's almost too warm !!

The whole family took the subway down to Greenwich Village to go to the massive saturday market. 

and i ended up with this sacklike bag. Looking at it now sat on the hotel bed with me, i realize it's kind of ugly but in a charming practical way.

ohhh well at 15 dollars i wont louse sleep over it ;)

Pre Packing !

  Things to do before leaving on vacation: 

• Decide to pack a week before you leave 
• Get your suitcase out five day before you leave 
• Look at your clothes three days before you leave 
• Decide you still have time to chill out 
• Realize you are leaving in the morning but have nothing in your suitcase  
• Flip out, pack frantically and pull an all-nighter  

yep this is pretty much my habit when it comes to packing !

 The same problem always arises for me when packing for New York. Because i am not one to ware terribly practical clothing, i find myself with an abundance of unsuitable clothing for running round NY trying to cram in all the things we want to do. 

Ahhh well... no point braking tradition now ;)

Found this amazing little budder guy in TK along with this dress and oddly they seamed to match, 

and now i have officially decided to re decorate my room based entirely on this little guy... 

Going to pack my stuff for NYC now, I am beyond excited !

Sequins and Nail Art

Mango Sequin Blazer, old levi jeans, office shoes 

So we are re-doing practically out whole house and in and amongst the absolute crap, i stumbled across this top hat, apparently it was my great great grandfathers 

(brings vintage to a whole new meaning !) so i decided its a keeper. 

P.S so glad nail art is coming back into fashion because i LOVE it, the crazy things you can do with an eyeliner style pain brush.

Love the extremes in fabrics and color in the new Acne Resort collection, thinking some of the gorgeous orange pieces would go great with my new zara skirt... what do you think, too orange ?!?
